There are millions of blackjack passionate players at the tables, both in online and live casinos. The game is suited for smart playing, but also for gambling randomly. A beginner player can win thousands of dollars in a single night, while an advanced player can lose $100 000 on a single unlucky hand. Those discrepancies make the game so popular, being also the subject of some harsh controversies. Some players are blaming luck; others are saying that the tables are rigged. In some live casinos, you might find some incorrect dealers or some rigged decks. For the online world, this is not the case.
Until the 1950ies, the game was based on a single deck playing. Furthermore, the deck was not shuffled between rounds. The advanced technique of
cards counting that appeared soon, obliged the casinos to introduce some additional rules, such as multiple decks of cards. A game played with 2, 4, or even 8 decks is called a multi-deck game. This kind of blackjack is not suited for card counting; therefore, the players must apply some other strategies to increase their chances.
BASIC OPTIONS
Here are the basic terms of blackjack, terms that form blackjack main options:
Hit - in simple
Hit - in simple words, “Give me another card.” It means that the player is not satisfied with his current card combination, so he needs another card. Take great care while taking this option. If you already have a total of 16, any card greater than 5 would make you lose the game. Try to take this option only if your total is lower than 14, or if you have an Ace in your combination.

Stand - “the game is over for me.” The player is satisfied with the cards, and he would require the other players and the dealer to show their cards also. However, if a player decides to continue gambling, he must place an additional bet to stay at the table.
Split - some casinos won’t give you this option. It is only suited for pairs. If you have a combination of this kind, you could split it into two separate games. You would receive two cards, and the two combinations are compared with the dealer’s. The majority of those games are ending as ties (the dealer would win one hand, losing the other). Take great care about this playing style also. You won’t be able to hit again after you receive the two cards.
Double - only certain combinations are suited for doubling. You will only get one card, forming two separate combinations with your current formation. In different games and casinos rules on doubling differ.
